Westgate SuperContest Week 8 Recap

The SuperContest field had by far it's best week of the season, averaging 3.04 points per entry.  The six most popular picks all won. We are getting close to the halfway point and are seeing unprecedented scores.  Consider this: a 70% win percentage would put you in 27th place at this point. That is crazy. We cannot imagine this high scoring trend is going to last much longer. Look for the field to get crushed in the coming weeks. There are now 4 entries within 1.5 points of the lead, with two entries tied with 32. Those entries are PERSONAL GOURMET and @PIGSKIN_JUNKIES, who both went 5-0 this week. THAT OTHER TEAM and JAZ follow up the field with 31.5 and 30.5 points respectively.

On the season, the field is averaging 2.58 points per week (51.7%), which is definitely better than where we expect the field to finish.  The top 5 consensus (GB, PHI, WAS, SEA, CHI) went 5-0 to stay hot and have a 9-1 record over the last two weeks.  The top 5 picks are now 22-18 through eight weeks.

The ProMathletics team once again played the same games on all our 18 entries.   Our picks for the week were MIA, CAR, SEA, PIT, and ARI.  We went 4-1, only missing out on Miami.  We now stand at 21-17-2 (55%) after eight weeks and have 22 points in the contest.

You can see the dispersion of all the entries below.  20.5 points is now the most common entry score.  After eight weeks, the average contest entry has about 2.58 points per week.
