Westgate SuperContest Week 3 Recap

As we predicted, the contest had a bounce back week.  We saw two double digit underdogs win outright, which takes us to 3 such instances happening through three weeks. However, overall favorites went 8-8. It is starting to feel like some normalcy is settling in this season.  The SuperContest is also starting to see a bit more separation, with 5 teams tied for 1st place, with 13 points each (87%).  The current leaders are TOOFDOC, ST8OUTTADURANGO, SHABOOM, FINALLY 2019, and BBMUSICFACTORY.

Overall, the field averaged 2.7 points per entry (54%), which is a steep improvement from last week's 39%.  This puts the contest at 49% on the season.  The top 5 consensus (NO, SEA, BAL, NE, SF) went 3-2, with the top 8 going 6-2.  The top 5 picks are now 8-7 through three weeks.

The ProMathletics team once again played the same games on all our 18 entries.   Our picks for the week were PHI, DET, KC, WAS, and MIA.  We went 4-1, only missing the 5-0 due to a couple miscues by Carson Wentz.  We now stand at 9-6 after three weeks.

You can see the dispersion of all the entries below.  Seven points is now the most common entry score.  After three weeks, the average contest entry has 7.39 points.
