Westgate SuperContest Week 11 Recap

The field had another subpar week, as the average entry got just 2.4 wins. After the heater we saw in the weeks leading up to last week, this correction comes as no surprise. There are just six weeks left now. The payout threshold is now 64%. We believe that number is going to come down even further. As such, look for another 48%ish performance from the field this week. However, with such little time left, you probably would need to have at least 26 points to have a shot at the title.  The good news is you don't need to come in first to record a profit.

@PIGSKIN_JUNKIES (41) is now alone in 1st with a 1.5 point lead on the 2nd place entry, TEAM CLEVELAND 1 (39.5). There are 4 entries within 2 points of the lead.

On the season, the field is averaging 2.58 points per week (51.5%) which is still slightly better than where we expect the field to finish.  The top 5 consensus (KC, CAR, MIN, HOU, IND) went 2-3 for the second straight week.  The top 5 picks are now 31-24 through eleven weeks.

The ProMathletics team continued our hedging strategy this week. We submitted 10 entries with our "real" picks and 8 with a straight hedge.  Our picks for the week were SEA, WAS, NYG, CHI, and KC.  We went 5-0. We now stand at 33-20-2 (62.3%) after eleven weeks and have 34 points in the contest.

You can see the dispersion of all the entries below.  28.5 points is now the most common entry score.  After eleven weeks, the average contest entry has about 2.58 points per week.
