Westgate SuperContest Week 11 Recap

The favorites took care of business this week, as they went 8-4 in the contest.  This really juiced the overall performance of the contest, which averaged almost 2.9 points per entry this week.  We now have a leader in sole possession of 1st, with 38 points, Grand Dragon maintains a half-point lead on 2 entries in second with 37.5 (Schematic Advantage and Biosoft Sports).  There are now 9 teams within 2 points of 1st.  It should be a wild ride down the stretch.


The top 5 consensus (Phi, NE, Det, Min, NO) all favorites, went 4-1.  Over 1,300 entries picked the Eagles, over 1,000 picked the Patriots.  The top picks are now 22-33 (40%) on the season.  Overall, the contest now sits at 48%.  Even with the surge this week, we are still targeting 56 points for the winning entry, which would be about 66%.  


Both ProMathletics' entries, which picked the same selections, went 4-1 with the Saints just running out of time to complete the comeback cover.   Our selections were (Pit, Jax, NO, Det, NE). We now have 34 points and are tied for 39th place.  That puts us at 62% and definitely still in the mix.


You can see the dispersion of all the entries below.  The contest now has a negative skew around the average of 26.7 points.  There is a group out ahead of the pack, with 12 entries within 2.5 points of the lead.
