Westgate SuperContest Week 7 Recap

The SuperContest field had a great week, averaging 2.82 points per entry.  In a crazy week, road teams went 10-3-1 ATS. After going 8-6-1 the previous week, one would think this could be a bounce back week for home teams.  The contest will most likely end up closer to the 2.4 range. The entry JAZ remained in the lead, going 4-1.  JAZ now has a 27-7-1 record, good for 27.5 points and a 79.4% win percentage.  There are two entries tied for second place with 27 points.  Those entries are PERSONAL GOURMET and @PIGSKIN_JUNKIES.

On the season, the field is averaging 2.51 points per week (50.3%), which is slightly better than where we expect the field to finish.  The top 5 consensus (MIN, NE, KC, DET, BAL) went 4-1 to break it's losing streak.  The top 5 picks are now 17-18 through seven weeks.

The ProMathletics team once again played the same games on all our 18 entries.   Our picks for the week were MIA, CAR, CHI, NYJ, and KC.  We went 2-3, and were about a yard away from at least a shot at overtime in Chicago.  We now stand at 17-16-2 (51.4%) after seven weeks and have 18 points in the contest.

You can see the dispersion of all the entries below.  18 points is now the most common entry score.  After seven weeks, the average contest entry has about 2.51 points per week.
