NBA Wednesday - Milwaukee Bucks at Houston Rockets Prediction
The Milwaukee Bucks head down to Houston tonight for a matchup against the Rockets on NBA Wednesday. The current market line now sits at Houston +1.5 at most books, but opened at Houston -1. This 2.5-point swing isn't enough to get this one into our valued GreenZone, but we do have a strong lean on the home-dog Rockets. Milwaukee has been the more consistent team so far this year and their 28-11 record demonstrates they haven't really had any rough patches. Houston, on the other hand, came out like zombies to start the year, but have since found their footing, winning 8 of the last 10.
There isn't any debate which player on each side will drive the outcome for the eventual winner. Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing the most complete basketball in the league. He is averaging close to 27 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists per game...on top of playing premiere defense against any position asked of him. How far the Bucks ultimately make it in the post-season will ride on the shoulders of the young superstar. Does the Greek Freak do enough in all facets of the game tonight to overcome The Bearded One's greatness...that is the ultimate question. Harden is averaging 34 and 9 and has been getting hotter and hotter by the week...averaging 39.6 points over his last 5 games. With the Rockets momentum and the fact that they are dogs at home in prime time, we have to lean that way. This is a very experienced group and they are deeper from 1 to 8 than the Bucks. We think it'll be a close and entertaining game, but the Rockets win it in a tight one in the 4th.
