Monday Night Football - Colts at Saints
New Orleans Saints (-8) at Home vs. Colts
[YellowZone] – NO -8
We are officially closed for business for Week 15 of the NFL season and will be waiting until Saturday or Sunday before we will be recommending a play. The Las Vegas SuperContest spread for this one was 8 points, but it is up to -9 at virtually every book in the world. Our models have it as about a 9.5-point game which is why we originally had it published in the YellowZone. Now that it is essentially right on top of the market line, we will be staying away.
The Saints have already clinched their division, but still have plenty to play for over these last three weeks, as they still could potentially get the #1 or #2 seed to get the highly coveted 1st round bye. There also isn't any debate that this New Orleans team is a different animal at home...them hosting a Green Bay or Seattle in the playoffs is a very different matchup vs. playing an NFC Championship game on the road.
A loss tonight would essentially end the Colts 2019 season and even with a win, they do not come anywhere close to controlling their own destiny. T.Y. Hilton is still battling the calf injury that has cost him five of the last six games, coincidentally, the Colts have lost 5 of their last 6 as well. If you forced us to make a wager based on our guts (no model value) we would take the Saints. WhoDat in primetime at home against a team who appears to have completely run out of gas is the type of game that can get out of hand. No units on the line, but if you're in a pick 'em or want some entertainment, we'll take Brees.
