NBA Sunday - Milwaukee Bucks @ Oklahoma City Thunder

We have a dandy of a matchup today in Oklahoma City. Two of the hottest teams, playing the best defense collide to provide us some entertainment on the 1st Sunday with no meaningful football since September.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks come into town riding a 6-game win streak, while Russell Westbrook and the Thunder bring in a 4-game win streak of their own.

For the Thunder, the emergence of Paul George has made all the difference in the world. George is now leading his team in points per game, which has taken the pressure off Westbrook on the offensive end. In addition, George is averaging almost 6 assists per game over the last five games. Don't get it twisted though, Westbrook is still the straw that stirs the drink, still averaging a triple double (22/11/11) on the season. When you throw in the fact that the Thunder are shooting over 45% from 3-point range over the last week, it's easy to see why they opened as favorites in this one.

On the flip side, the Bucks have been performing at the highest of levels all season. Until the recent resurgence of the Warriors, the Bucks held the top spot in the ProMathletics' NBA Power Rankings. Additionally, a win today would tie their record win streak on the season at 7. Everyone knows Giannis is the main force behind the Bucks' success, but they have put up championship numbers as a team as well. They are holding opponents to a ridiculously low 43% FG% on the season, which is far and away the best in the league.  They are also 2nd in points per game and 1st in rebounds per game.  Getting 2nd chances and limiting opponents' possessions has lead them to the best record in the NBA.

All that being said, we're taking the Bucks in what is sure to be a tight battle today. Over the last hour, the line has moved from OKC -1 to Mil -1. That has taken much of the value out of this one, but we still like Mil on a slight lean. It is definitely no longer a GreenZone pick, but if you are looking for some action to ease the No Football Sunday Scaries, take the Greek Freak and the boys.  This is also a reminder to not bet on the Pro Bowl.
